Machine Laundry Cafe vs Cuiccio (Hobart!)
Machine Laundry Cafe
Of all the places, I insist,
The Machine Laundry is top of the list,
Do you washing, eat your lunch,
Scrub, scrub, scrub, munch, munch, munch!
Thai style soup, yolky eggs,
While you hang your washing on pegs (not really!)
Handywork and yummy food,
You’ll always be in the mood!
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Vote for the Machine Laundry, it’ll take you to heaven!
Ciuccio
Ciuccio, Ciuccio, shout out loud,
Bad food, bad food isn’t allowed,
Pasta, pizza, Italian galore,
And other good foods, best you ever saw!
Ciuccio, Ciuccio, clap you hands,
Pizza, pizza, spaghetti demands,
Yum, yum, yum, eat, eat, eat,
And while you’re eating drum to the beat,
Ciuccio, Ciuccio eat to the core
Now go out, eat at it then go and explore!

Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar
Pellegrini’s, pasta dreams,
The friendly waiters, everybody beams,
All well known for their mozzarella cheese,
And may the homemade sauces never cease,
First we start with some buttered bread,
It will fill a hungry tummy to clear the head,
Then comes the main meal, pasta of course,
It could be penne with parmesan and sauce,
Or maybe little pillows filled with stuffing,
Choose any type, I’m not bluffing,
To end you might want a finishing cakes,
But that’s basically all that Pellegrini’s makes,
Pelligrinis, pasta dreams
And that’s the end, as everybody beams!

Beatbox kitchen poem!
On a cold and rainy day,
At the Curtain House
We crept upstairs to take a peek,
Being as quiet as quiet as a mouse
We took the stairs to the top,
To see what secrets lay there
But what we saw was not expected,
All we could do was stare
A paradise of shroom burgers,
Gigantic ginger beers
Were being dished out in front of us
“We’ve got to have lunch here!”
The brightly coloured Beatbox van,
The open rooftop view
If you like being up the top,
Beatbox kitchen is for you!
As soon as Mum had ordered,
The waitress whisked them out
3 mouthwatering Shroom burgers
You sure cannot miss out
The burger was colossal,
Soft and juicy too
My eyes lit up at the sight of it,
Forget about saying “Boo”!
Washed down with a cup of ginger beer,
Bubbly and delicious
Beatbox Kitchen is heavenly,
And downright nutritious.

Hikari
Mum and I were wondering down the street one day looking for a place to have lunch. Suddenly a sign came into view. It read ‘Hikari’. “Mum” I called, “this could be interesting!”. We walked in. It was quite a small restaurant and had beautiful pictures all over the walls and a little cat waving at us from the front table.
We seated ourselves on a comfy table and looked at the menu. I ordered a Calpico (a Japanese milk drink) and a Tofu Bento Box. and Mum went for the same (except for the Calpico!). I finally tore my eyes off the little cat and looked down. Magically, my bento box had already arrived. “Oh my gosh” I said loudly. I looked down embarrassed as everybody in the restaurant looked at me.
The tofu tasted and looked superb, and the rice was cooked so well I felt like I was really in Japan! I gobbled my meal up so quickly it looked like I was in the World Eating Championships! I also liked the little bit of fruit at the end in its own separate compartment. So, after that, when we were both filled up and happy I thought to myself “Hikari rocks”.

TOFWD
Of all the things I like best, sandwiches from TOFWD tops them all! Those lush, lovely, crumbly pieces of heaven are a joy to vegetarians and a great lunch time snack.
Now I’ve tasted these creations of bliss. I’ve given up on vegemite and cheese sandwiches and asked Mum to put these in my lunch box! They’re really nice!
I shall now put these on STAR-FOOD OF THE WEEK! For these are the best, the funnest, the snackiest sandwiches from TOFWD.

Yong Green Food
Mum and I were out organising stuff in Fitzroy yesterday when suddenly, without warning, my tummy started grumbling. I knew it was time for lunch! We looked and looked for a great cafe, then Mum spotted a place called Yong Green Food. It looked good … however I didn’t know what I was up for …
We opened the door and walked inside. It was deliciously warm and the aroma was one of lovely strong spices. I sat down and looked at the menu. Too many choices! Soy kingfish, lentil hot pot, chickpea wraps, soy tuna? Nah, soy kingfish sounded fantastic!
While I waited for my meal to come a little tune came into my head. It went like this:
Yong Green Food is the best
it lets your body do the rest!
It’s the Yong Green Food Crew
that does the best they can do
Kingfish is cooked well
And the mango lassi will always sell
At Yong Green Food nothing goes to waste
Because all of it is superb in taste!

Yong Green Food, it’s the gate to heaven!
So, bang your drums and strum your guitar
’cause Yong Green Food is a **STAR**
In the end, I felt absolutely delighted. How good was that? Now, I’m actually so impressed with Yong Green Food I’ve giving them a 10/10 and 3 gold stars.
Trust me. I was mindblowingly good! Now take my recommendation and pack your bags for … Yong Green Food. It’s brilliant!

Burger madness!
Burgers, burgers, bowl of chips
All suited for my tummy
Tomato sauce, mushroom chaos
All is triple yummy!
Behold the giant pepper
That is upon my plate
If you go to A Bottle of Milk
You’ll find out that tomatoes are your best mates!
Oh the weather is windy
And the rain pours outside
Bit in the warmth and the luxury
Our time we must bide
I’d love to stay here
And eat and eat
While the waiters welcome us
And say ‘Take a seat’!
But as you know readers
You know I cannot stay
I’ve got to go on another adventure
Without any delay
So that is all, my ladies and gents
I’d love to stay and say more
And tell you about why A Bottle of Milk
Is never ever a bore
But as you see, I have no time
No time at all to talk
So I now will go on
My Otway Fly walk!
When in Lorne we ate the mushroom and haloumi burgers at:

To wash down, I had ramune
Its taste took my way over the moon
Tappanyaki cooked on the grill
Tofu, shiitake, what a lovely meal
Do you like croquettes? Well here are some for you
Vegetable and cheese and that’ll do
Gyoza is my favourite dish
Vegetarian gyoza was my wish!
If you like steak, we’ve got some made of tofu
Tofu steak is certainly the best thing for you
Japanese pancake is called Okonomiyaki
It’s made of vegies and is definitely not yucky!
The last thing of all Matcha Gozen
Green tea fondue with fruit at the end
Green tea iceacream with red beans
That’s what Matcha Gozen means
I will absolutely come to Maedaya again
So thank you everybody and that’s the end!
